A Perfect Ending to a Beautiful Year: Tony & Shayla Pisto’s Wedding at Venue3Two | Grand Rapids, MI
As the last wedding of 2024 for me, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to close out the season than with Tony and Shayla’s stunning celebration. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Venue3Two in Grand Rapids, Michigan, their wedding was everything a fall celebration should be: warm, romantic, and absolutely full of love.
The weather could not have been more perfect for an early October Friday afternoon. The sun was shining, the temperature was just right, and the excitement in the air was palpable. From the moment guests arrived, the vibe was joyful and laid-back. Drinks flowed, the food was nothing short of delicious, and the music set the perfect tone for a memorable evening.
The Getting-Ready Moments
One of the things I always love about weddings is the intimate moments shared while everyone is preparing for the big day. Shayla and her bridal squad had a blast getting ready in the gorgeous bridal suite, complete with champagne and, of course, Chick-fil-A (because who doesn’t love a little fast food luxury before a wedding?). There were so many laughs, hugs, and excited squeals as they made memories together before Shayla slipped into her dress.
The groomsmen also had their own fun while getting ready, and I have to say—these guys were impressive! Not only did they look sharp, but they also took charge of setting up the centerpieces. Seriously, I think they might be open for hire for any future weddings! They did an excellent job creating a simple yet elegant setup that really pulled the whole black-and-white theme together.
The First Look: A Moment to Remember
As always, one of the highlights of the day was the first look. There’s something truly magical about watching a couple experience that moment before the ceremony. And with Tony and Shayla, it was nothing short of breathtaking. Tony’s reaction to seeing Shayla in her dress was everything. The way he looked at her—it was as if the whole world disappeared, and it was just the two of them. There were definitely some goosebumps in the air (mine included). This was love in its purest, most beautiful form.
That moment set the tone for the entire evening, and I knew from then on that this wedding would be full of special memories that would last a lifetime.
The Ceremony: Pure Romance
When the ceremony began, it was magical. Family and friends gathered around to witness Tony and Shayla commit to each other in front of their closest loved ones. The black and white color scheme, paired with lush floral arrangements, created an atmosphere of romantic elegance. Every detail—every smile, every glance—seemed to radiate the love and devotion Tony and Shayla share.
Their vows were heartfelt, and the look on their faces as they exchanged rings and said “I do” was enough to make any onlooker believe in true love. Their bond is one of those rare, undeniable ones that you just feel when you’re around them.
Reception Bliss
The reception was an absolute blast! As the evening unfolded, guests mingled, danced, and celebrated Tony and Shayla’s new chapter with plenty of great food, laughter, and dancing. I couldn’t help but smile as I looked around the room, seeing the newlyweds surrounded by their loved ones—parents, siblings, friends, and extended family—all sharing in this magical moment.
The music was fantastic and had everyone on the dance floor. You could feel the energy in the room; it was the kind of celebration that keeps you smiling all night long.
A Lifetime of Happiness Ahead
Tony and Shayla are the kind of couple who make it look easy. Their love for each other is evident in everything they do—how they look at each other, how they laugh, and how they care for everyone around them. I know they have a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and joy ahead of them, and I feel so incredibly lucky to have been a part of their special day.
As my final wedding of 2024, I can’t think of a better way to end the year. Tony and Shayla’s celebration was everything I love about weddings: love, joy, family, and a day full of memories that will last forever.
