The Kopplin Wedding: A Dreamy Wedding at Hidden Vineyard

On what was likely the hottest summer day so far (hello, 91 degrees!), we celebrated a love story that made every drop of sweat totally worth it. Nestled in the heart of Michigan, Hidden Vineyard set the perfect stage for Lindsey and Austin to say “I do.”

From the moment guests arrived, the setting was nothing short of magical. A white picket fence-lined drive welcomed everyone into a property filled with wooded charm, sprawling vineyards, and a rustic barn that simply radiates romance. The dance floor—set on a wooden plank deck and surrounded by the twinkle of fireflies and an unforgettable Michigan sunset—was where the evening truly came alive.

A Ceremony Beneath the Catalpa Tree

Lindsey and Austin exchanged vows beneath the second largest Catalpa tree in Michigan. It was shaded, serene, and stunning—sunlight peeked through the leaves just enough to create a dreamy glow over their ceremony. Surrounded by 120 of their closest family and friends, the couple’s love was front and center.

The bridesmaids wore soft hues of pink and delicate florals—effortlessly romantic and perfect for the setting. And Lindsey? She was the picture of grace in an off-the-shoulder gown that hugged her curves and seemed to be made just for her.

Despite the heat, the groom and groomsmen looked dashing in navy suits—and not one of them complained about the jackets (total troopers!). The color palette, from the soft pinks to gold accents throughout the reception, painted the entire day in elegance.

The Details That Made the Day

Lindsey was, hands down, one of the most easy-going brides I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Kind, sweet, and trusting—she made the entire planning process a joy. Being chosen to bring her vision to life was truly an honor.

Hidden Vineyard proved to be a dream location, and our vendor team worked like a well-oiled machine—even in the heat! From the breathtaking florals and top-notch catering (served family style with incredible attention to detail), to the bartenders keeping drinks cold and guests refreshed all night, everyone came together to make it seamless.

The DJ kept the dance floor packed, the photographers captured every heartfelt and joyful moment, and the venue staff went above and beyond. It felt more like a family reunion than a vendor collaboration.

Lindsey and Austin infused the day with personality and thoughtfulness—signature cocktails (Old Fashioned and Cosmopolitan), a polaroid guestbook wall, an audio book for guests to leave heartfelt messages, and curated transportation for guest ease. Every detail was designed with their guests in mind, and it didn’t go unnoticed.

Reflections from the Heart

As a wedding planner, the aftermath of a beautiful day like this means sore feet, aching muscles, and an extra dose of caffeine the next morning. But it also means full hearts. This is why we do what we do—to witness love stories unfold, and to be the behind-the-scenes magic-makers ensuring that every moment goes off without a hitch. And even the one to bring cold towels and extra water bottles to ensure no one passes out in the heat—we do it all!
