A Love-Filled Summer Celebration | Jen & Brad’s Wedding at White Birch Wedding Barn

Some wedding days just stay with you—and Jen & Brad’s wedding at White Birch Wedding Barn is one I’ll always carry in my heart. Held on August 16th, their day was the perfect blend of joy, beauty, heartfelt emotion, and effortless elegance. And can I just say… this may be one of my favorite venues to date! The team at White Birch were truly incredible—always going the extra mile with a smile, making the day not just run smoothly, but feel joyful from start to finish.

From the moment I met Jen, I felt like I had known her for years. She was one of those rare brides who was completely laid back during the planning process. She trusted the flow, brought positivity into every conversation, and made everything—from emails to walk-throughs—feel fun and meaningful. Getting to work with her (and gush over her two gorgeous daughters along the way) was honestly such a gift.

The Wedding Day
Jen was absolutely stunning on her big day. She wore a romantic dress with the prettiest hint of blush peeking through the layers—subtle and dreamy. Even in the heat and humidity of a classic Michigan summer day, her hair and makeup held up flawlessly. Her bridesmaids looked amazing in an artful mix of sage green, champagne gold, and burnt orange—such a modern, earthy palette. And those flower girls? Her daughters in sparkles… too cute for words.

Brad and the groomsmen absolutely nailed the all-black look—clean, classy, and timeless. It’s a bold choice that always photographs beautifully, and this crew wore it so well.

Moments That Mattered
What struck me most was how much heart Jen and Brad poured into their wedding. Jen, in particular, made sure that their day honored the people who couldn’t physically be there, but were present in every way. Her young nephew, Jeremiah Joseph, who passed away far too soon, had his wheelchair placed lovingly in the front row. (Even now, as I write this, I have goosebumps—and tears.) Jen made sure his presence was felt and remembered.

As Jen walked down the aisle with her mother, they passed the first seat on the right—reserved for Brad’s late father, Mr. Husak. A vase of lilies sat on the chair with a sign in his memory. These thoughtful gestures were a testament to Jen’s deep compassion and her desire to make the day about more than just herself. It was about family. Love. Legacy.

And let’s talk about how thoughtful these two were for everyone there—knowing the summer heat would be in full swing, they provided fans that read: “Our love is hot! Just like Michigan football.” A fun, personal touch that kept guests cool and smiling.

The Party
The ceremony ended with the sweetest dip kiss (yes, we all swooned), followed by laughter, love, and so many joyful moments with the bridal party. Their first dance was magical—complete with spins and smiles—and their décor was exactly what I love: romantic and refined. Table runners, soft greenery, pink-hued florals, golden candlelight… it all felt so intentional, so them.

And instead of a traditional wedding cake? These two went with rolled ice cream—and let me tell you, it was a hit! Guests loved the unique (and delicious) twist.
