I had the absolute joy of helping plan and host a baby shower for my beautiful stepsister, Chloe, and it was nothing short of magical.
The theme? “Baby is Blooming”—a nod to Chloe’s love of florals and the sweet baby girl she and her husband Kiefer are soon welcoming into the world.
A Warm Welcome: Baby is Brewing
As guests arrived, they were welcomed with hugs, smiles, and our charming “Baby is Brewing” coffee station. It was the perfect cozy touch to set the tone for the day—warm and inviting. Gifts were set down, and everyone had their moment to love on Chloe, who was absolutely glowing.

The Decor: Heirlooms & Heartstrings
This shower was as meaningful as it was beautiful. We reused decor elements from Chloe’s wedding—a soft blush cheesecloth runner and woven placemats added both sentiment and style. A mix of vintage dishes, collected over the years, made each table setting feel personal: think delicate saucers, antique teacups, and floral China, each one slightly different and completely charming.
Mini bud vases held freshly picked blooms (yes, including baby’s breath—Chloe’s favorite!), while little framed photos of Chloe and Kiefer as babies brought a sweet nostalgia to each table. It was a full-circle moment: from their babyhood to welcoming their baby girl.

Bloom Bar: A Floral Fête
One of the favorite stations of the day was the flower bar—a hands-on experience where guests created their own “made with love” bouquets to take home. It was not only a beautiful keepsake, but also a quiet moment for guests to engage, create, and connect.
(Pro tip: these bouquets can later be pressed and turned into framed art or bookmarks for a lasting keepsake. A simple DIY with sentimental value.)

Details, Details…
A vintage wooden ladder hung on display, adorned with eucalyptus and tiny baby clothes fastened with clothespins. It was both rustic and romantic—the perfect combo for a baby girl celebration.
We even thought of the little guests! A kids’ table complete with a mini charcuterie spread and coloring pages (plus plenty of crayons) gave them a fun and creative space to enjoy.
Brunch Bites & Sweet Treats
No shower is complete without a delicious spread, and this one delivered. We kept it light and brunch-y:
- Chicken salad croissants
- Mini quiches
- Pigs in a blanket (adorably fitting)
- A colorful fruit bowl
- DIY yogurt parfait bar with all the toppings
And to top it off? A strawberry-filled cake that tasted as good as it looked—sweet, fresh, and just right for a Sunday afternoon.
Final Thoughts
Helping plan this shower wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about weaving Chloe and Keifer’s story into every detail. From the passed-down decor to the vintage charm to the blooming flowers everywhere, this celebration honored the past while looking forward to an incredibly bright future.

Baby girl Davis, you are already so loved.
And to Chloe—thank you for letting me be part of your journey. Watching you bloom into motherhood is a gift I’ll always treasure.
XO
