A Rainy Day Turned Beautiful: Camden & Renata’s Wedding at Kellogg Center

Fall weddings in Michigan are always a favorite of mine — the colors, the cozy energy, the romance in the air. Lately, we’ve had an unusually warm fall (no complaints there!), but on Saturday, October 18th, the weather decided to remind us what Michigan is really made of. Just in time for Camden and Renata’s wedding day, the forecast shifted dramatically, bringing the first rain we’d seen in weeks — complete with predictions of lightning and even hail!

As the bearer of bad news, we had to make the call to move their ceremony indoors. But what could have been a stressful moment turned into something incredibly special. With all the creative minds working together, the new indoor ceremony space came together beautifully — warm, intimate, and filled with love. It truly felt meant to be.

Camden and Renata were an absolute dream to work with. They were easygoing, organized, and trusted the process from start to finish. They checked off their to-do lists and brought their vision to life perfectly — and it paid off in every way.

Before the rain rolled in, they shared a stunning first look outdoors — the fall colors glowing around them, the anticipation so evident. Renata looked breathtaking in her gown with its lace overlay and sheer mesh sleeves, complemented by the most meaningful detail: her heirloom veil, worn by her grandmother, her mother, and now herself. How special is that? Camden looked sharp in all black, and you can just feel the emotion when he saw her for the first time.

The bridal party, dressed in classic black, made the autumn palette pop beautifully. The reception décor was simple and elegant — exactly how I love it. Colorful floral centerpieces surrounded by glowing votive candles, black and white linens, and signature drinks that perfectly reflected the couple’s style.

Even though the weather had other plans, the day turned out to be everything we knew it would be — full of joy, laughter, and love. And as they say, rain on your wedding day is good luck!

Thank you, Renata and Camden, for letting me be a part of your day — you will always be the perfect fit for each other. It was such a joy celebrating your love and watching everything come together so perfectly.
