The Start of Something Beautiful

There’s something about the start of a new wedding season that never gets old.

No matter how many weddings I’ve planned, how many timelines I’ve perfected, or how many “I do’s” I’ve witnessed, the first wedding of the year always brings a rush of excitement I can’t quite put into words. And here we are—2026 wedding season officially begins Mother’s Day weekend, and I am absolutely thrilled.

But along with that excitement? The butterflies.

Every. Single. Year.

You would think after all this time, those nerves would fade. But they don’t—and honestly, I hope they never do. Because those butterflies mean something. They mean I care deeply. They mean I’m invested. They mean that every couple I work with is more than just a date on my calendar—they are a story I get to help bring to life.

I often joke that I treat every wedding like it’s my own… but it’s not really a joke. From the very first consultation to the final send-off, I am all in. I celebrate the small details, I problem-solve behind the scenes, I anticipate needs before they arise, and I feel every emotion right alongside my couples. That first walk down the aisle of the season? It gets me every time.

There’s something especially magical about a season kickoff wedding. It sets the tone for everything to come. It’s fresh energy, new inspiration, and a reminder of why I fell in love with wedding planning in the first place. After the quieter winter months, stepping back into the rhythm of wedding days feels like coming home.

And 2026 already feels special.

This season is filled with incredible couples, unique designs, meaningful traditions, and celebrations that reflect love in its truest form. I can already tell it’s going to be one for the books—not because of the trends or the details (although those will be stunning), but because of the people at the heart of it all.

So yes, I’ll have butterflies that first wedding day.

I’ll double-check timelines, fluff dresses, cue music, and quietly take in those once-in-a-lifetime moments as they unfold. I’ll feel the anticipation, the joy, and maybe even a few happy tears—because that’s what happens when you truly love what you do.

To all of my 2026 couples: I am so honored to be part of your journey. Thank you for trusting me with something so personal and meaningful. Your love stories are the reason this “job” never feels like work.

And to the season ahead—let’s make it unforgettable.

Let the weddings begin!
